இக்கட்டுரை, உலகப் பொதுமறையாகக் கருதப்படும் திருக்குறளில் இடம்பெறும் தலைமைப் பண்புகளை நவீன நிறுவனத் தலைமைத்துவக் (Corporate Leadership) கோட்பாடுகளுடன் இணைத்து ஆராய்கிறது. திருவள்ளுவர் அறத்துப்பால், பொருட்பால் ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் முன்வைக்கும் அறிவுடைமை, ஊக்கம், ஈகை, அஞ்சாமை, சொல்வன்மை, பொறையுடைமை, நடுவு நிலைமை போன்ற பண்புகள், இன்றைய நிறுவன உலகில் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படும் நெறிமுறை தலைமைத்துவம் (Ethical Leadership), மாற்றுத்திறன் தலைமைத்துவம் (Transformational Leadership), பணிவுத் தலைமைத்துவம் (Servant Leadership) ஆகிய கோட்பாடுகளுடன் எவ்வாறு ஒத்துப்போகின்றன என்பதை ஒப்பீட்டு முறையில் ஆராயப்படுகிறது. இக்கட்டுரை தரவு அடிப்படையிலான ஆய்வு அல்ல; மாறாக, திருக்குறள் மூலநூல், அதன் உரைகள், மற்றும் அண்மைக் கால தமிழாய்வு இதழ்களில் வெளிவந்த ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் என்பவற்றை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட உரையியல் பகுப்பாய்வு (Textual Analysis) முறையைப் பின்பற்றுகிறது. நிறுவனத் தலைவர்கள் திருக்குறளின் அற வழிமுறைகளைப் பின்பற்றுவதன் மூலம், நீடித்து நிலைக்கும் நிறுவன வளர்ச்சி (Sustainable Growth), பணியாளர் நம்பிக்கை, சமூகப் பொறுப்புணர்வு ஆகியவற்றை மேம்படுத்த முடியும் என்பதே இக்கட்டுரையின் முடிவான கருத்தாகும்.
