As humans, we are utilizing many inventions to simplify our burdens in the growth of the cyclical passage of time and the speed of technological development. Like the saying "discard the old", the old culture is also being forgotten and left behind. The Tamil community can be said to be a pioneer of the world of knowledge. The objects used by such a distinguished ethnic group in the early days are now forgotten and neglected by everyone in the course of time. Many scientific creations and cultural elements are hidden in all such used objects. By discovering such used objects, it is possible to see our lost cultural elements. Based on that, this study focuses primarily on commonly used objects related to food such as the arivaalmanai (sickle-shaped vegetable cutter), pot, and grinding stone with pestle (ammikkuzhavi), to understand their usage and, through them, the culture.
