Abstract

One of the core concepts of Hindu philosophy, Shanti (Śānti), extends far beyond the simple meaning of "peace." It serves as a holistic philosophy that creates harmony across all levels of human existence. This research article explores the concept of Shanti Loka (the Realm of Peace) within the context of spirituality and the universe. By analyzing descriptions of Shanti in the Upanishads, Vedas, and Puranas, this paper explains the three-dimensional conceptualization of Shanti: Adhyatmika (individual/inner), Adhibhautika (environmental/physical), and Adhidaivika (cosmic/divine).

Furthermore, it examines the relationship between Shanti and fundamental Hindu philosophical tenets such as Brahman, Atman, and the Pancha Koshas (five sheaths of existence), as well as the underlying ideological meaning of Shanti Mantras. Finally, the article discusses the relevance of Shanti Loka in the modern world across fields such as mental health, social harmony, and ecological balance.
