⚖️ Conflict of Interest Policy & Author Declaration

Tamilmanam International Research Journal of Tamil Studies (TIRJTS)

To maintain the integrity of academic research and ensure unbiased peer review, Tamilmanam requires all authors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest (such as research validity) may be influenced by a secondary interest (such as financial gain).

🔍 Conflict of Interest Policy

1. Types of Potential Conflicts:

  • Financial Interests: Funding, grants, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, or honoraria received from organizations that may gain or lose financially from the publication.
  • Personal Relationships: Academic competition, personal rivalries, or close family ties with editorial board members or potential reviewers.
  • Institutional Affiliations: Direct competition between the author’s institution and an organization mentioned or evaluated in the study.

2. Disclosure Requirement:

All authors must disclose any conflicts at the time of submission. If no conflict exists, authors must explicitly state: “The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this manuscript.”

3. Reviewer & Editor Responsibilities:

Editors and reviewers are also required to recuse themselves from the evaluation process if they have a known conflict of interest with the authors or the content of the manuscript.
