Abstract

The development of a language is based on the development of the literature and grammars that emerged in that language. Grammars teach grammatical rules to speak and write a language without errors. Language is a combination of letters. Language development is intrinsically linked to the evolution of its literature and grammar, with grammar teaching the rules for error-free speech and writing. Language is fundamentally a combination of letters, a process structured as punarcci (sandhi). This sandhi is crucial for a language's origin and growth, where letters are specifically identified as the final letter of the preceding word and the initial letter of the succeeding word.

மனித குலத்தின் மிகச் சிறந்த கண்டுபிடிப்பு எதுவென்றால், அது மொழிதான். மொழியின் ஆழத்தையும், அதன் செழுமையையும் நிர்ணயிக்கும் மூன்று அடிப்படைக் கொள்கைகளை விளக்கும் ஒரு தத்துவச் சிந்தனையை நாம் இங்கே தமிழ்ச்சொற்கள் இழைந்தோடக் காணலாம், மொழியின் வளர்ச்சியானது அதன் இலக்கிய, இலக்கண வளர்ச்சியுடன் பின்னிப் பிணைந்துள்ளது. இலக்கணங்கள் மொழியைப் பிழையின்றிப் பேசவும் எழுதவும் விதிமுறைகளைக் கற்பிக்கின்றன. மொழி என்பது எழுத்துக்களின் சேர்க்கையாகும், இச்சேர்க்கையானது புணர்ச்சி என கட்டமைக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒரு மொழியின் தோற்றத்திற்கும் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் புணர்ச்சி நிலையே அடிப்படையாக அமைகிறது. எனவே, புணர்ச்சியில் எழுத்துக்கள் நிலைமொழியின் இறுதி எழுத்தாகவும், வருமொழியின் முதல் எழுத்தாகவும் சுட்டப்படுகின்றன.
