முத்தமிழ் அறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களின் பிறந்தநாளை முன்னிட்டு, தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறை ஜூன் 3, 2025 அன்று செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவைக் கொண்டாட உள்ளது.
கலைஞர் அவர்கள் தமிழுக்கு செம்மொழி அந்தஸ்து வழங்கியதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தை போற்றும் வகையில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அவரது பிறந்த நாளான ஜூன் 3-ம் தேதியை செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவாக அனுசரித்து வருகிறது.
மாணவர்களிடையே தமிழ் மொழியின் வளமையையும், முத்தமிழ் அறிஞர் தமிழ்த் தொண்டின் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் நிலைநாட்டும் வகையில், 11 மற்றும் 12 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் கல்லூரி / பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்களுக்காக ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் ஆண்டுதோறும் கட்டுரை மற்றும் பேச்சுப் போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. ஜூன் 3, 2025 அன்று நடைபெற உள்ள செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கு பரிசுகளும், பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழ்களும் வழங்கப்படும். மாவட்ட மற்றும் மாநில அளவிலான கட்டுரை மற்றும் பேச்சுப் போட்டிகள் பற்றிய விவரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு:
மாநில அளவிலான போட்டி
மாவட்ட அளவிலான போட்டிகளில் முதல் பரிசு பெறும் உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளி மற்றும் கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், மே 17, 2025 அன்று சென்னையில் நடைபெற உள்ள மாநில அளவிலான போட்டியில் பங்கேற்க தகுதி பெறுவார்கள்.
தமிழ்நாட்டின் அனைத்து 38 மாவட்டங்களிலும் 11 மற்றும் 12 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களுக்காக நடத்தப்படும் கட்டுரை மற்றும் பேச்சுப் போட்டிகளில் முதல் பரிசு வென்றவர்கள், சென்னையில் மே 17, 2025 அன்று நடைபெறும் மாநில அளவிலான போட்டியில் பங்கேற்பார்கள். மாநிலப் போட்டியில் முதல் மூன்று பரிசு வென்றவர்களுக்கு செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவில் பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்படும்.
பரிசுகளும், பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழ்களும் 03.06.2025 அன்று செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவில் வழங்கப்படும்.
ஜூன் 3, 2025 அன்று நடைபெறும் செம்மொழி நாள் விழாவையொட்டி, பள்ளி மற்றும் கல்லூரி மாணவர்களுக்கான மாவட்ட மற்றும் மாநில அளவிலான கட்டுரை மற்றும் பேச்சுப் போட்டிகளில் வெற்றி பெறுபவர்களுக்கு தமிழ் வளர்ச்சித் துறை மொத்தம் ரூ. 17,36,000/- (ரூபாய் பதினேழு லட்சத்து முப்பத்தாறாயிரம் மட்டும்) பரிசுத் தொகையாக வழங்கப்படும்.

Semmozhi Naal Vizha (Classical Language Day Celebration) – 2025: Essay and Speech Competitions for School and College Students (Grades 11 & 12)
In commemoration of the birth anniversary of Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar, Tamil Development Department will celebrate Semmozhi Naal Vizha (Classical Language Day) on June 3rd, 2025.
To honor Kalaignar’s significant contribution to granting classical language status to Tamil, the Government of Tamil Nadu annually observes his birthday, June 3rd, as Semmozhi Naal Vizha.
To instill in students an appreciation for the richness of the Tamil language and the legacy of Muthamizh Arignar’s service to Tamil, essay and speech competitions are conducted annually in every district for students in grades 11 and 12, as well as for college/ university students. Winners will be awarded prizes and certificates of appreciation at the Semmozhi Naal Vizha, to be held on June 3rd, 2025. The details regarding district and state-level essay and speech competitions are as follows:
State Level Competition
Students from both high school and college who secure the first prize in the district-level competitions will be eligible to participate in the state-level competition, scheduled to be held in Chennai on May 17th, 2025.
First prize winners in the essay and speech competitions conducted for students in grades 11 and 12, and for college students across all 38 districts of Tamil Nadu, will participate in the state-level competition on May 17th, 2025, in Chennai. The top three prize winners in the state competition will be awarded during the Semmozhi Naal Vizha.
Prizes and certificates of appreciation will be awarded at the Semmozhi Naal Vizha on 03.06.2025.
A total prize amount of Rs. 17,36,000/- (Rupees Seventeen Lakh Thirty-Six Thousand only) will be awarded to the winners of the district-level and state-level essay and speech competitions for school and college students by the Tamil Development Department in connection with the Semmozhi Naal Vizha on June 3rd, 2025.
