நேர்காணல், களஆய்வு, கருத்துக்கணிப்பு, வாய்மொழி மரபுப் பதிவுகள், வகுப்பறை ஆய்வுகள் போன்ற மனிதர்களை உள்ளடக்கிய ஆய்வுகள், அவர்களின் இசைவு, தனியுரிமை, மாண்பு ஆகியவற்றை மதிக்க வேண்டும். ஓலைச்சுவடிகள், கல்வெட்டுகள், படங்கள் சார்ந்த ஆய்வுகள் அவற்றின் உரிமையாளர்களையும் காப்பாளர்களையும் மதிக்க வேண்டும்.
Research with people – interviews, fieldwork, surveys, recordings of oral traditions and classroom studies – must respect their consent, privacy and dignity. Work with manuscripts, inscriptions and images must respect their owners and custodians.
நேர்காணல், களஆய்வு, கருத்துக்கணிப்பு, சோதனை ஆகியவற்றில் பங்கேற்போர், ஆய்வின் நோக்கத்தையும் முடிவுகள் வெளியிடப்படும் முறையையும் அறிந்த பின், தங்களுக்குப் புரியும் மொழியில் தகவலறிந்த இசைவு அளிக்க வேண்டும். முதியோர், எழுத்தறிவு இல்லாத தகவலாளர்கள் போன்றோரிடம் எழுத்து மூல இசைவு பொருந்தாத இடங்களில், பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட வாய்மொழி இசைவு ஏற்கப்படும். இசைவு பெற்ற முறையைக் கட்டுரையில் குறிப்பிடுங்கள்.
உங்கள் நிறுவனத்தின் ஆய்வு அறநெறி விதிகளையும் ஆய்வு நடைபெற்ற இடத்தின் சட்டத்தையும் பின்பற்றுங்கள். அறநெறிக் குழு ஒப்புதல் பெற்றிருந்தால், குழுவின் பெயர், ஒப்புதல் எண், தேதி ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிப்பிடுங்கள்.
Participants in interviews, fieldwork, surveys and experiments must give informed consent, in a language they understand, after being told what the research is for and how the results will be published. Where written consent is not appropriate – for example with elderly or non-literate informants – recorded oral consent is accepted. State in the article how consent was obtained.
Follow the research ethics rules of your institution and the law of the place where the research was done. If an ethics committee approved the study, give its name, the approval number and the date.
பாடகர்கள், கதைசொல்லிகள், கலைஞர்கள், கைவினைஞர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட தகவலாளர்களே நாட்டுப்புறவியல் ஆய்வின் மூலங்கள். பெயரை வெளியிட வேண்டாம் என அவர்கள் கேட்டாலன்றி, அவர்களின் பெயர், ஊர், பதிவு செய்த நாள் ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிப்பிட்டு அவர்களுக்குரிய மதிப்பை அளியுங்கள்; பெயர் மறைப்புக் கோரிக்கையை மதியுங்கள். ஒரு சமூகம் மறைபொருளாகவோ கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்கு உரியதாகவோ கருதும் பாடல்கள், சடங்குகள், அறிவு ஆகியவற்றை அச்சமூகத்தின் இணக்கமின்றி வெளியிட வேண்டாம். இயன்றவரை, ஆய்வு முடிவுகளைப் பங்களித்த மக்களுடனும் சமூகங்களுடனும் பகிருங்கள்.
Singers, storytellers, performers, craftspeople and other informants are the sources of folklore research. Credit them – name, place and date of recording – unless they ask to remain anonymous, and respect that wish. Do not publish songs, rituals or knowledge that a community regards as secret or restricted without its agreement. Where possible, share the results with the people and communities who contributed.
பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகளில் நடைபெறும் ஆய்வுகளுக்கு அந்நிறுவனத்தின் அனுமதி தேவை. குழந்தைகளுக்குப் பெற்றோர் அல்லது காப்பாளரின் இசைவையும் குழந்தையின் இணக்கத்தையும் பெறுங்கள். குழந்தை, மாணவர் அல்லது பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளாகக்கூடிய பங்கேற்பாளர் எவரையும் அடையாளம் காட்டக்கூடிய படங்களையோ விவரங்களையோ வெளியிட வேண்டாம்.
Studies in schools and colleges need the permission of the institution. For children, obtain the consent of a parent or guardian and the agreement of the child. Do not publish photographs or details that could identify a child, a student or any vulnerable participant.
ஓலைச்சுவடிகளை அவற்றை வைத்திருக்கும் நூலகம் அல்லது சேகரிப்பின் பெயர், பட்டியல் அல்லது கட்டு எண் ஆகியவற்றுடனும், கல்வெட்டுகளை வெளியான தொகுதியின் பெயர், தொகுதி எண், கல்வெட்டு எண் ஆகியவற்றுடனும் – களத்தில் படித்தவையெனில் இடத்துடனும் – அடையாளப்படுத்துங்கள். பிறர் வைத்திருக்கும் சுவடிகள், ஓவியங்கள், சிற்பங்கள், ஒளிப்படங்கள், நூல் பக்கங்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் படங்களை வெளியிட அவர்களின் அனுமதி தேவை; படக்குறிப்பில் மூலம் சுட்டப்பட வேண்டும். நீங்களே எடுத்த படங்களையும் அவ்வாறே குறிப்பிடுங்கள்.
Identify manuscripts by the library or collection that holds them and their catalogue or bundle numbers, and inscriptions by the published corpus, volume and number, or by place if read in the field. Reproducing images of manuscripts, paintings, sculptures, photographs or book pages held by others needs their permission, and the source must be credited in the caption. Images you took yourself are credited as such.
சாதிகள், சமயங்கள், வட்டாரங்கள், சமூகங்கள் பற்றி மதிப்புடனும் ஒருசார்பான பொதுமைப்படுத்தல்கள் இன்றியும் எழுதுங்கள். இழிவுபடுத்தும் சொற்கள் மூலநூல் மேற்கோள்களுக்குள் மட்டுமே, அவ்வாறு குறிப்பிட்டு, இடம்பெறலாம். எந்தக் குழுவையும் இழிவுபடுத்தும் சொல்லாட்சியைத் திருத்துமாறு இதழாசிரியர்கள் கேட்கலாம்.
Write about castes, religions, regions and communities with respect and without stereotypes. Derogatory terms appear only inside quotations from sources, marked as such. Editors may ask authors to revise wording that demeans any group.
