Abstract

Language is the tool used by humans to exchange ideas and thoughts with others. For this purpose, the mother tongue is the most effective. Among all the languages of the world, Tamil possesses unique natural phonetics and exceptional script. It is a language that emerged first, flourished, and attained classical excellence; hence, our Tamil language became a "Classical Language" (Semmozhi).

The thought that a nation's progress depends on the progress of its language blossomed among scholars. Many poets emerged and worked tirelessly for the advancement of the language. Bharathi was the first poet to foster nationalism and Tamil sentiment in Tamil literature. Many followed in his footsteps to compose poetry. Among them, poet Palanibharathi stands out, creating works with Tamil sentiment. The objective of this article is to bring to light the new perspectives Palanibharathi has created by employing literary techniques with modern emotions and fervor throughout his poems.
