A school serves as a beacon of light that refines the individual, enhances intellectual capacity, and guides one toward excellence in character and conduct. The Tamil schools established by the Tamil community in Malaysia act as seeds sown to ensure that the Tamil language—one of the world's ancient languages—flourishes like the sprawling banyan tree and takes deep, resilient root like the hardy Bermuda grass. These schools shine as repositories that preserve not only the Tamil language but also a wealth of distinctive elements, including Tamil arts, culture, traditions, heritage, religious philosophies, ethical values, and spiritual wisdom.
