Many types of literature are used to tell stories. While literature such as epics, novels, fiction, and short stories also tell stories, drama is entirely different. ‘Nadi’ (to act) can be taken as the root word of drama. Excellent character development is a fundamental and lasting element of drama, truly enhancing its quality. One of the Tamil dramatic works is Bharathidasan's Chera Thandavam drama. Excellent character creations connects events on a cause-and-effect basis. This study aims to investigate the creation of the storyline in the Chera Thandavam drama.
