Abstract
This text explores the ancient and continuous tradition of Lord Murugan worship in Tamil history, highlighting how Tirumurukattuppadai transforms traditional Aatruppadai guidance literature from a quest for material wealth into a spiritual journey toward divine grace. By analyzing key textual passages detailing sacred abodes, rituals, music, dances, and divine grace, the article traces an integrated devotional experience while establishing its core thesis: Tirumurukattuppadai represents the outer, ritualistic space of worship, which later evolved into the inner, personal devotion seen in Tiruppugazh.
