ஆசிரியர்கள், மதிப்பாய்வாளர்கள், இதழாசிரியர்கள் என வெளியீட்டில் ஈடுபடும் அனைவரும், தங்கள் மதிப்பீட்டைப் பாதிக்கக்கூடிய அல்லது பாதிப்பதாகத் தோன்றக்கூடிய நலன்களை அறிவிக்கின்றனர்.
Everyone involved in publishing – authors, reviewers and editors – declares interests that could affect, or seem to affect, their judgement.
ஆய்வுடன் தொடர்புடைய நிதிசார், நிதிசாரா நலன்கள் அனைத்தையும் ஆசிரியர்கள் அறிவிக்க வேண்டும்: நிதியுதவி, பணி, ஆலோசனைப் பணி, பங்குகள், காப்புரிமைகள், கட்டணங்கள், வாசகர் தொடர்புடையதாகக் கருதக்கூடிய தனிப்பட்ட, தொழில்முறை, நிறுவன அல்லது சமயத் தொடர்புகள் – எடுத்துக்காட்டாக, ஆய்வுக்குட்படும் நூலின் ஆசிரியர், பதிப்பகம், சமய நிறுவனம் அல்லது அமைப்புடன் உள்ள தொடர்பு. எதுவும் இல்லையெனில் “முரண்படும் நலன்கள் எதுவும் இல்லை என ஆசிரியர்கள் அறிவிக்கின்றனர்” எனக் குறிப்பிட வேண்டும். இவ்வறிக்கை கட்டுரையுடன் வெளியிடப்படும்.
Authors declare all financial and non-financial interests related to the work: funding, employment, consultancy, shares, patents, fees, and personal, professional, institutional or religious affiliations that a reader might consider relevant – for example links to the author, publisher, religious institution or organisation whose work or practice is being studied. If there are none, the statement reads “The authors declare no conflicts of interest.” The statement is published with the article.
ஆசிரியர்களுடன் அண்மையில் இணைந்து பணியாற்றியிருந்தால், ஒரே நிறுவனத்தில் பணிபுரிந்தால், போட்டியாளராக இருந்தால், முடிவில் நிதி நலன் இருந்தால், அல்லது வேறு காரணத்தால் நடுநிலையாக இருக்க இயலாவிட்டால், மதிப்பாய்வாளர்கள் அழைப்பை மறுக்க வேண்டும். ஐயம் இருந்தால் இதழாசிரியரிடம் கேட்கலாம்.
Reviewers decline an invitation if they have collaborated with the authors recently, work in the same institution, are competitors, have a financial interest in the outcome, or cannot be impartial for any other reason. If unsure, they ask the editor.

Editors do not handle manuscripts from their own department or close collaborators, or in which they have any interest; another editor takes over. Manuscripts by editors or board members are reviewed by independent reviewers and decided by another editor, without the author-editor’s involvement.
வெளியீட்டுக்குப் பின் கண்டறியப்படும் முரண்படும் நலன் COPE வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி கையாளப்படும்; அது திருத்தத்துக்கு வழிவகுக்கலாம்; முடிவுகளையே கேள்விக்குள்ளாக்கினால் கட்டுரை திரும்பப் பெறப்படலாம்.
A conflict discovered after publication is handled following the COPE guidance and may lead to a correction or, if it undermines the findings, a retraction.
