Sangam Agathinai Traditions in Vali's Film Music Songs

Abstract

Music is sweet. Film music is made sweet. Newly added film music is more attractive to today's youth, middle class and students than traditional music. This film music reaches everyone through film songs. Songs by Mahakavi Bharathi, Bavendar Bharathidasan, Namakkal poet songs, and Sudhananda Bharathiyar songs have also been written according to the scenes of the films from time to time. There are many artistic geniuses and poets who have given literary value to film songs. Among them were Papanasam Sivan, Sankara Das Swamigal, Udumalai Narayana Kavi, Kambadasan, Thanjavur Ramaiyadas, K.M. Balasubramanian, Mayavanathan, Kavigamu Sharif, N. Kamarajan, Pulamaippitthan, Muthulingam, A. Marudhakasi, Pattukottai Kalyanasundaram, poet Kannadasan, and Vali are the most notable. Therefore, film music songs cannot be completely set aside or ignored. They also have a specific place in society. They create a great impact among the youth. Ideas such as opposing the fascists, working for the country, teaching good things mixed with politics in dialogue and visuals, and working hard and progressing became the central theme (cultural name) of MGR's films. Vali's songs serve as the seed for these. Film songs were also written for films in which Sivaji acted, expressing ideas such as making any sacrifice for love, suppressing the arrogance of wealth, and adhering to justice.

இசை இனிமை உடையது. திரைஇசை இனிமை உடையதாக ஆக்கப்படுகிறது. மரபு வழிப்பட்ட இசையை விட புதிதாக சேர்க்கப்படும் திரைஇசைக்கே அதிக ஈர்ப்பு இன்றைய இளைஞர்களிடத்தும் நடுத்தர வர்க்கத்தினரிடமும் மாணவர்களிடமும் காணப்படுகின்றது. இத்திரை இசையே திரைப்பாடல்கள் வழியாக அனைவரிடத்தும் செல்கிறது. மகாகவிபாரதி, பாவேந்தர் பாரதிதாசன் பாடல்கள், நாமக்கல் கவிஞர் பாடல்கள், சுத்தானந்தா பாரதியார் பாடல்களும் அவ்வப்போது படங்களின் காட்சிகளுக்கேற்ப எழுத்தாளப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.  திரைப்படப் பாடல்களுக்கு இலக்கிய மதிப்பைப் பெற்றுத் தந்த கலை மேதைகள், கவிஞர்கள் பலர். அவர்களுள் பாபநாசம் சிவன், சங்கரதாஸ் சுவாமிகள், உடுமலை நாராயண கவி, கம்பதாசன், தஞ்சை ராமையாதாஸ், கு.மா. பாலசுப்பிரமணியன், மாயவநாதன், கவிகாமு ஷெரீப், நா. காமராஜன், புலமைப்பித்தன், முத்துலிங்கம், அ. மருதகாசி, பட்டுக்கோட்டை கல்யாணசுந்தரம், கவிஞர் கண்ணதாசன், வாலி ஆகியோர் மிகவும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கவர்கள். எனவே, திரை இசைப் பாடல்கள் என்றாலே முற்றிலும் ஒதுக்கி விடவும் புறக்கணித்து விடவும் முடியாது. அவைகளுக்கும் சமுதாயத்தில் குறிப்பிட்ட இடம் உண்டு. அவைகள் இளைஞர்கள் மத்தியில் மிகுந்த தாக்கத்தை உண்டாக்கி விடுகின்றன. கொடியோரை எதிர்ப்பது, ஊருக்கு உழைப்பது, வசனம், காட்சி ஆகியவற்றில் அரசியல் கலந்த நல்லனவற்றைப் போதிப்பது உழைத்து முன்னேறுவது முதலான சிந்தனைகள் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் படங்களுக்குரிய மையக் கருவாக (cultural name) அமைந்தன. இவைகளுக்கு முலக்கருவாக வாலியின் பாடல்கள் திகழ்கின்றன.     காதலுக்காக எந்த விதத் தியாகமும் செய்வது, பணக்காரத் திமிரை அடக்குவது, நீதிக்குக் கட்டுப்படுவது முதலான கருத்துகள் சிவாஜி நடித்த படங்களிலும் திரைப்பாடல்கள் எழுதப்பட்டன.
