தேவநேயப்பாவாணரின் திருக்குறள் தமிழ்மரபுரையின் மாண்பு

Tēvanēyappāvāṇariṉ tirukkuṟaḷ tamiḻmarapuraiyiṉ māṇpu

Abstract

Thirukkural is a book of great importance in Tamil literature. Although there are ten ancient texts, the texts that have appeared in the last century and this century are numerous. The reason why the texts of the Thirukkural have increased over time is because the Thirukkural embodies the principle of being applicable to both the individual and the collective, as in the saying, "He who sees shoulder, sees shoulder." No matter what style the text is composed in, it is clear that part of it follows the Parimēlaḻakarurai. In this way, the unique text of the Thirukkural, which was written by Moḻiñāyiṟu tēvanēyappāvāṇar, who was a scholar of Tamil ethnicity, language and culture, is called tirukkuṟaḷ tamiḻmarapurai. The purpose of this article is to highlight the merits of this tradition.

தமிழ் மொழிக்கு வளமையுஞ் செழுமையுஞ் சேர்த்த நூல்; உலக மக்களனைவரும் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் இன்புற்று வாழவேண்டுமென்ற பெரு நோக்கத்தால் இயற்றப்பெற்ற நூல்; தமிழினம் மட்டுமின்றி உலகத்திற்கே உயரிய வாழ்வியலைக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்த ஒரே நூல் திருவள்ளுவர் இயற்றிய திருக்குறள். தமிழர் வாழ்வியலைத் தெளிவிக்க எழுந்த இந்நூற்குள்ள மற்றுமொரு சிறப்பு இன்றுவரை இந்நூலுக்கு உரைகள் பெருகி வருவதும் பல்வேறு நிலைகளில் உரைகள் தோன்றினும் தோன்றும் பொருளனைத்தையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் பொருள்வளம் உள்ளதாக; இன்பப்பேரூற்றாக விளங்குவது திருக்குறளின் தன்னேரில்லாச் சிறப்பாம். இவ்வகையில், திருக்குறளுக்குத் தோன்றியுள்ள பல்வேறு உரைகளுள் இன்றியமையாததும் தமிழ்மரபுப்படி இயன்றதுமான உரைநூல் மொழிஞாயிறு தேவநேயப்பாவாணர் அவர்களால் அரிதின்முயன்று இயற்றப்பெற்ற திருக்குறள் தமிழ்மரபுரை என்பதாம். பாவாணரின் அறிவுக் கொடையெனும் பேரொளியால் துலங்கிய இத்தமிழ்மரபுரையின் குன்றாச்சிறப்புகளைச் சுட்டி, இதுகாண் திருக்குறள் தமிழ்மரபுரையின் மாண்பு எனத் தெளிவிப்பதே இக்கட்டுரையின் நோக்கமாம்.
