Abstract
Thirumoolar's Thirumandhiram considers Yoga not merely as a system of physical exercise, but as a philosophical-spiritual path aimed at the holistic development of human personality. Emphasizing the integrated development of the body, mind, intellect, and soul, Thirumoolar's yoga philosophy explains morality, self-discipline, mental purity, and spiritual awareness as essential components of human progress. Viewing the human body as a sacred temple where divine grace resides, Thirumoolar highlights the necessity of maintaining physical health, mental balance, and a elevated state of consciousness through moral conduct and yoga practices.
Using descriptive and qualitative research approaches, this research paper examines the philosophical foundations of Thirumoolar's yoga philosophy and its contribution to holistic human personality development.
