தோப்பில் முகமது மீரானின் நாவல்களில் விளிம்புநிலை இஸ்லாமியர்களின் வாழ்வியல்
Abstract
Thoppil Mohamed Meeran’s novels serve as excellent examples of the diverse identities associated with marginalized communities. Within the Tamil social landscape, there exist many Muslims-situated on the fringes-who do not integrate into the Muslim mainstream. Barbers (known as 'Osakkas'), washerfolk, fisherfolk, 'beedi' rollers, leather workers, weavers, mat weavers, grave diggers, butchers, blacksmiths, homeless nomads, and women living in abject poverty all appear as key characters in Thoppil Mohamed Meeran’s novels. These individuals navigate lives marked by pain, deviance, deceit, treachery, and violence. Thoppil Mohamed Meeran’s novels vividly portray these lived experiences; this article examines that portrayal.
