Murugan, the World's First God, and Mother Tamil: A Historical Study

Abstract

This research paper encapsulates two historical truths. Firstly, it explores the Kumari Continent, believed to be the cradle of the primeval human race, and asserts that Lord Thirumurugapperuman, who originated from this land of Kumari, is indeed 'the primordial God of the world'. The objective of this study is to establish, through Sangam literature, how the worship of Murugan was practiced in the remaining landmass of Kumari after the great tsunami – which is present-day Tamil Nadu – excluding the submerged portions of the Kumari land. Furthermore, it aims to clarify, through historical research, how 'Murugan, the Tamil God, and his worship methods were systematically altered by those who imposed Sanskrit'. This research paper is submitted with the noble aim of bringing these facts to light for the world.

         இந்த ஆய்விதழ் இரண்டு வரலாற்று உண்மைகளை தன்னகத்தே கொண்டதுள்ளது. அவை முதலில்  ஆதி மாந்த இனம் வாழ்ந்ததாக சொல்லக்கூடிய குமரி கண்டம் அங்கேயே ; அல்லது குமரி நிலத்தில் தோன்றிய இறைவன் திருமுருகப்பெருமான் , ‘அவனே உலகின் ஆதி கடவுள்’ .  இந்த ஆய்வின் நோக்கம் , ஆழிபேரலைக்கு பிறகு, ‘ குமரி நிலத்தின் மூழ்கிய பகுதி போக மீீதமுள்ள நிலப்பரப்பான இன்றை தமிழகத்தில் முருக வழிபாடு எப்படி நடைபெற்றது என்பதை சங்க இலக்கியம் வழி நின்று நிறுவுதல்’  மற்றும் அப்படி “தமிழ்கடவுளான முருகனையும்,  அவனது வழிபாட்டு முறைகளும் திட்டமிட்ட சமஸ்கிருதத்தின் திணிப்பின் மூலம் எப்படி எல்லாம் மாற்றினார்கள் அந்த மொழியை திணித்தவர்கள்” என்பதையும் வரலாற்றின் அடிப்;படையிலான ஆய்வின் மூலம் நிறுவுதல் மற்றும் இந்த உலகிற்கு வெளிக்கொண்டு வரவேண்டும் என்கிற உயர்ந்த நோக்தில் தான் இந்த ஆய்வு கட்டுரை சமர்ப்பிக்கப்டுகிறது.
