Society is a complex collective way of life in which human beings live together. A group of other sentient beings or inanimate objects cannot be considered a "society." The term "society" is inextricably linked with the human race, which possesses the sixth sense.
The short stories of Indira Parthasarathy portray the integrated structure of social customs, traditions, methods of operation, power dynamics, and mutual cooperation. The primary objective of this article is to analyze the conflicts arising within family relationships and the subtle emotions of the human minds facing them, comparing them with the real-life events found in Indira Parthasarathy's short stories.
Specifically, his works center on elements such as the mental confusion of the middle class, relational deviations, frustration, death, failure, loneliness, and mental stress. This article logically examines the contradictions existing between the individual and society, particularly through the lens of urban intellectuals.
