The medical profession is regarded not merely as a career for curing diseases, but as an expression of humanity and selfless service. Based on the principles of Astrology, the 10th House (Karma Sthana) and the 6th House (Roga Sthana) play primary roles in determining which branch of medicine an individual will choose. This research paper meticulously examines the astrological differences between those working as doctors and those in the pharmaceutical sales and marketing sector as Medical Representatives. Drawing from rules established in classical texts such as Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, and Jataka Parijata, this study discusses the significance of planetary conjunctions, the exchange of house lords, and divisional charts (Vargas).
Specifically, this study provides evidence explaining how the dominance of Mars produces surgeons, while the strength of Mercury and the 3rd House determines the success of Medical Representatives. Furthermore, the planetary positions required for medical education, the intuition needed for diagnosis, and the contribution of the 12th House to working within a hospital environment are analyzed in detail.
