Ramakrishnan portray family relationships, inter-familial disputes, and their consequences with remarkable realism.
This research paper aims to analyze the concepts of family depicted in S. Ramakrishnan's novels 'Sanjaram', 'Idakkai', and 'Pathin', along with the internal family conflicts, the impact of bad habits, the consequences of malnutrition, and the effect of male selfishness within the household. These novels possess a unique approach that captures the inner dynamics of the institution of family as realistic portrayals without resorting to over-sentimentalism.
