A STUDY OF FOLKLORE IN THE NOVEL ‘KARISAL’
Abstract
‘கரிசல்’ நாவலில் இடம்பெறும் நாட்டார் வழக்காறுகளை மையமாகக் கொண்டு அமைகிறது. கரிசல் நில மக்களின் வாழ்வியல், பண்பாடு, நம்பிக்கைகள், கலை மற்றும் சமூக உறவுகளை வெளிப்படுத்தும் நாட்டார் வழக்காறுகள் இவ்வாய்வில் ஆராயப்படுகின்றன. நாட்டார் பாடல்கள், ஒப்பாரி, கதைப்பாடல்கள், பழமொழிகள், சடங்குகள், திருவிழாக்கள், இறைவழிபாடு, நாட்டார் மருத்துவம், கலைவடிவங்கள் மற்றும் வட்டாரச் சொல்வழக்குகள் ஆகியவை நாவலில் எவ்வாறு இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன என்பது எடுத்துரைக்கப்படுகிறது. இவ்வழக்காறுகள் கரிசல் மக்களின் பண்பாட்டு அடையாளத்தையும் வாழ்வியல் அனுபவங்களையும் வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றன. இதன் மூலம் ‘கரிசல்’ நாவல் நாட்டார் வாழ்வியலையும் பண்பாட்டையும் பதிவு செய்யும் முக்கியமான படைப்பாக விளங்குவது புலப்படுகிறது.
