Abstract

Communication emerged alongside humanity itself. It is the process of conveying and sharing ideas, emotions, and messages from one individual or group to another. Today, we live in an era of rapid technological advancement where information can reach any corner of the world within a minute. However, Sangam literature records how ancient Tamils effectively communicated in early times without modern scientific technology. This research paper, titled "Communication in Pattuppattu" (Ten Idylls), analyzes the various communication methods utilized by ancient Tamils as depicted in the Pattuppattu anthology.
