Abstract

The worship of gods is what arose out of fear. From that time to this day, it is no exaggeration to say that everyone's life is encompassed in the single word 'faith'. The one who is the beginning and the end of it is 'God'. History and literature say that our Tamil nation was the race that excelled in culture and civilization before civilization emerged and developed in various parts of the world. The worship of God, which is integral to their lives, is the main worship of the Tamils. The man who worshipped and worshipped nature, eventually started worshipping his ancestors as well. He who feared that some hindrance would come to him due to the untimely deaths of his family, started worshipping the dead as well. Thus, the tradition of each family worshipping separate gods emerged as the worship of minor gods. People perform festivals and worships to this god according to their living conditions. In this regard, this research article aims to investigate the locations and worship of minor deities in Rasipura, one of the municipalities of Namakkal district.
